What’s new at the pumping level?
The pumping market in 2013 has done rather well if we stick to the numbers. No big news this year, but classics that hit hard. Note the rise of stainless steel garden pumps, or lift pumps with turbines and pump bodies in stainless steel.
For example, the Ebara or Gruinard Leisure Pump manufacturers have this year put on the front of the scene new pumps for lifting dirty water, with stainless steel composition. Why stainless steel? Simply because this material is resistant to time and frequent contact or permanent with water? Such pumps remain in contact with liquids permanently, so they need a composition worthy of the name.
The garden pump has again grown to become the first distributed on the market pumping! Easy to handle, install and maintain, this surface pump wins all votes when it comes to customer satisfaction. The garden pump allows you to fetch water from your well or well, as long as it is less than 8 meters deep.
As we have seen many times, the submerged pump allows you to draw water located more than 7 or 8 meters deep in your water table. The well water pump and drilling are also very successful in terms of commercialization: more and more, individuals with a private home are equipped to recover water from their drilling. This water is used to feed their domestic facilities such as sanitary, shower, washing machine or to water the garden or set up an automatic watering system (adding some accessories).
It’s time to think about checking your pumping equipment too! Is the pressure of the pump sufficient? Is she well equipped to spend the winter? What to do with my watering until next summer? We will attempt to address these issues in future blog posts!
The different types of water pumps
Dry a cellar, empty a septic tank, transfer water from a well … There is a pump adapted to each use. Discover the different types of water pumps!
The lift pump, designed for domestic use, can be adapted to any type of laden or clear water. It is a versatile device, which immerses itself in the liquid, often serving as empty cellar during stormy periods. The lift pump can also be used to evacuate water from a basin or sump.
The surface pump is intended for tanks whose depth does not exceed 7 meters. As its name suggests, this pump remains on the surface and therefore placed outside the liquid. It works by means of a pipe that sucks water to repress it.
The surface pump can be used for watering a garden, cleaning equipment, feeding a device with water, etc.
The submerged pump adapts to deep tanks (over 7 meters deep). As the name implies, this water pump is totally immersed in the liquid, and only the pipe and the cable remain on the surface. Thanks to its small diameter, this pump can be installed in the wells. It also adapts to rainwater drainage systems.
Self-priming, the booster pump automatically engages when needed. Designed for domestic use, its function is to increase the pressure in the water pipes. The booster pump can be used for watering the garden, feeding toilets, etc.
